1) Fatigue is an indicator of a good workout:
A good workout program makes you better in your sport or life in general, merely fatiguing and increasing your heart rate could be done with anything. Be watchful of what you become 6-8 months down the road.
.
2) Women + Weight training = Bulky Muscular look:
Women get bulky by hogging on packaged food laying on a couch. All they could do to benefit their health and get the "look" - sexy booty and shapely arms is to weight train, but sadly they are asked to perform endless cardio. Women don't have the testosterone to develop huge muscles like men. The women that you see who are muscular and jacked are on steroids possible because they may be competing ina bikini figure show or something.
.
3) Light weight and high reps for toned physique:
Performing endless reps with pinky dumbbells does no good to you rather than just filling up your muscles with blood. Of the foundation of basic strength isn't there, the pump goes off leaving your body flat. Yes there is a place for high rep training, but it shouldn't be at the expense of strength work.
.
4) You need minimum one hour in the gym daily:
A solid workout can be completed within 40-45 minutes. There's no written rule that one hour is the magical time you need to spend in the weight room or on s treadmill.
.
5) Heavy weights cause injury:
Nothing can be further from the truth. Heavy weights lifted with poor technique or ego lead to injury.
.
6) Protein Powder is a must to grow muscles and burn fat :
No, whole foods, nutrient dense foods - meat vegetables eggs etc grow your muscle. Supplement is just that - a supplement!
.
7) Only walking on a daily basis does wonders for health:
That probably comes from your Papa doens't it? It's high time people understand the importance of strengthening their muscles so that in the long run they don't have to face issues like knee pain, frozen shoulder, blood sugar, blood pressure and what not. Plus it makes them look hotter😉
.
8) Your favourite celebrity's fitness transformation was legit:
This one is extremely important and my favourite. It happens around the globe. A certain movie trailer comes out and you see poppin'biceps of your favourite actor or a shiny booty of that glam girl. People talk about it a lot and these celebs come out and give their super awesome tips and tricks on how they achieved that look. What most people don't understand is that no doubt they would've trained hard but the kind of supplements and diet prescribed for them is only to achieve that look. 6 months down the road, they would even look that way. Add to that the skillful cameramen. Best is to assess yourself, look up to genuine personas and train to get better.
